John Byrd, founder of Gigantic Software, will be presenting at GDC 2012.

In his presentation, entitled "Psychoacoustic Real-Time Mixing: Seven Secrets You Need to Know," John will discuss seven ways to use psychoacoustic research to intelligently mix a top-rated video game.

Topics include auditory masking, dynamic ducking, old and new reverberation models, intelligent loop construction, 3-D positioning versus head-related transfer functions, low frequency effect management, and cinematic mixing.

GDC 2012 will be held at the Moscone Center, San Francisco, CA from March 5 through March 9, 2012.  The presentation will occur on Tuesday, March 6 as part of the GDC Audio Bootcamp.  We hope to see you there!
